The law firm of
Meriwether & Tharp
was established in 1998 in Norcross, Georgia by partners Patrick L.
Meriwether and Robert L. Tharp. In 2000, the offices were
relocated from Norcross to Alpharetta, Georgia and the firm began
expanding its professional staff and focusing its practice on family and
business law matters, including divorce, contempt, and modification
actions. The firm has since opened satellite offices in Atlanta
and Canton, Georgia.

I was referred to Meriwether & Tharp by a
client who utilized the legal services of Leh Meriwether to
address a difficult divorce. I met with Leh in Mar 07 and
was impressed with his professionalism and genuine concern for
the difficult circumstances of my divorce and child custody.
With Leh’s assistance, I gained physical custody in Jul 07.
While addressing my divorce, I was unexpectedly moved into a
very difficult employment contract dispute with my former
employer, one of the world’s largest financial institutions.
I spoke with Leh on this matter in Nov 07 and requested his
assistance. The employment dispute was ultimately
scheduled for a FINRA Arbitration in Aug 08. As a
Financial Advisor and a retired Detective from one of the
country's largest law enforcement agencies, I have worked
closely with many attorneys during my careers. In having
done so, I can say with great confidence that Leh and the law
firm of Meriwether & Tharp, are among the finest legal
professionals available. My employment contract dispute
was resolved in Aug 2008 and my divorce finalized in Sep 08.
Throughout the legal and personal difficulties of addressing
these matters, I could not have been more comfortable or
